ALFRETON TOWN 3 BLYTH SPARTANS 1
A STUNNING second half, with two goals in two minutes, saw Alfreton record their first home win of the season.
Tom Denton opened the scoring with a near post header from Callum Chettle’s corner, before Blyth skipper Robert Dale converted a penalty at the other end.
Sam Ramsbottom was adjudged to have brought down Jamie Holmes in the area.
Denton hit his double after the break, another header this time from Curtis Bateson’s cross, from narrowly inside the six-yard box.
