NINE-MAN East Thurrock fell to defeat at Gloucester City thanks to a solitary goal from Ben Seymour.
And yet it was the visitors who had the first chance as Paul Konchesky crossed to Danny Harris who headed over.
Thurrock were denied the opening goal by an excellent save by Gloucester stopper Matt Yates soon after from Tom Derry’s effort.
That save was to prove invaluable as striker Seymour escaped the offside side trap to fire past Giddens and put the Tigers in front.
