RICKY Johnson’s strike midway through the second half secured all three points for Banbury United against previously unbeaten Leiston.
It was a deserved win and Banbury’s first chance came when the ball was played to Lewis Gabbidon and his shot was pushed over the bar by Marcus Garnham. After 19 minutes the Blues’ almost broke through when Dominic Doherty shot wide.
Leiston then caught Banbury on the break and on 25 minutes Christie Finch’s shot was easily saved by James Gough in the Banbury goal.
