FORMER Hereford United player and manager Colin Addison has taken up a non-executive position on the club’s board.
The 72-year-old first joined the Bulls in 1971 and remained with them for three years before going on to manage numerous clubs, including Derby, Celta Vigo, Yeovil, Swansea and Forest Green Rovers.
Commenting on Addision’s arrival, Bulls chairman David Keyte said: “The decision to ask Colin to join us was made during a board meeting last week.
“We wanted to recognise Colin’s unstinting support to Hereford United over the past 41 years since he joined the club as a player/manager in 1971.
“His never-ending enthusiasm and passion for Hereford United has never diminished and we are delighted that Colin has accepted this ambassadorial role within the club.
“I have no doubt that Colin will have all the answers on what should be happening on the pitch, but the position is not a footballing appointment as such.”
