ASHTON moved into the third qualifying round of the FA Cup with an ultimately comfortable victory.
They moved ahead after 24 minutes as Matty Chadwick got the better of Matt Mahoney, who brought him down for a penalty with Chadwick scoring high to Matt Cooper’s right. Mahoney’s day immediately got even worse as he received a red card for scything down Chadwick.
