A SERIOUS injury to Hungerford’s Jokull Andresson led to their encounter with Wantage Town being abandoned.
The hosts’ Icelandic shot stopper was inadvertently struck by a Wantage player whilst battling for the ball and after Andresson was stretchered into an ambulance, the referee made the decision to abandon the tie.
In the 70 minutes of action that preceded Andresson’s injury, both sides failed to notch a goal.
