HILL’S FIRST WIN IN THE LEAGUE AT LONG LAST

BURGESS HILL finally have a league win to celebrate, and they had a big Non-League Day crowd to celebrate with as they overcame Haringey Borough.
The win still leaves the Hillians bottom of the table but they are now only a point adrift. The first opportunity fell to Haringey; Hillians keeper Josh James denying Karl Akinwande from close range.
James made another fine save ten minutes later before Akinwande blasted over.
But the hosts led on 31 minutes when Kieron Pamment cut in from the left and rifled his effort into the far corner.
