WORKINGTON turned the formbook upside down with a merited victory over their league’s leaders Scarborough Athletic.
The home side had been struggling next to bottom but were always the livelier side against the league leaders.
Home goalkeeper Aaran Taylor did not have a serious save to make, given excellent cover by his back four in which full-back Matty Douglas was the outstanding figure.
Chances were few and far between and Workington took theirs on 26 minutes.
