RUNCORN Linnets ground out a hard fought win in a tight game against Leek Town, midfielder Kris Holt’s 11th-minute goal the difference.
Runcorn had the better of the first half and could have taken the lead within a minute but Leek goalkeeper Danny Roberts did well to save from Kurt Sherlock one on one.
The second half was a much tighter affair with clear chances hard to come by for either side. Leek Town grew into the game and had more of the possession as full time drew nearer, but they were unable to find any way through a solid Runcor...
