WHEN Joe Deeney was diagnosed with an aggressive form of blood cancer it seemed improbable that he would survive, let alone continue a promising coaching career.
But three years later, the Zimbabwe-born bouncer and former professional MMA fighter had declared victory on the biggest fight of his life, taking charge of Hemel Hempstead Town – a year to the day since he was given the all-clear.
