ASH PALMER’S first goal for Stockport, after he had conceded a penalty, set them on the way to a comfortable victory against Jamie Vermiglio’s Chorley.
It hadn’t taken long for the action to hot up. Chorley’s pacey forward Louis Almond committed Palmer in the penalty area, his quick feet fooling the County man into bringing him down.
Left back Adam Blakeman stepped up to take the penalty but he fired it at a comfortable height to Ben Hinchliffe’s left and the stopper parried it to safety.
