BLYTH rounded off a good week by progressing to the first round of the FA Trophy. After back-to-back 3-2 league victories over Curzon Ashton and Stockport, Blyth showed why they play at a higher level than Marske.
A hat-trick from Dan Maguire and a Robbie Dale strike saw off the challenge of a side who ply their trade two divisions below Blyth.
Alun Armstrong’s men started well in the first meeting between the sides and opened the scoring on 21 minutes.
