TAYLOR’S TRIO MAKES MOORS THE MERRIER

GLEN TAYLOR hit a hat-trick in an emphatic Spennymoor performance that condemned Alfreton to their worst ever defeat.
The visitors took no time in opening the scoring, with Taylor converting a penalty in the sixth minute.
Ex-Red Stephen Brogan doubled the lead just after the half hour mark, with a perfectly struck free-kick into the top corner.
The third was sheer bad luck for Alfreton, as Taylor’s long range effort was blocked but looped over home keeper Sam Ramsbottom, leaving Jamie Chandler to slide it in.
