GLOUCESTER and Hampton took a point apiece from a dour stalemate lacking quality and scoring chances.
It took a long time for either to settle. City‘s Noah Smerdon was forced off early after being hurt in a strong challenge from Luke Ruddick, who escaped without a card.
And there was little to shout about until the 15th minute when Hampton’s Rhys Murrell-Williamson crossed to the far post and Jack Connors flashed his shot wide.
