IT’S fair to say it hasn’t been the easiest of routes to the last 32 of the FA Vase for Sunderland RCA.
The Northern League Division One club have faced a home tie against Bridlington Town and away trips to Garstang and league rivals Shildon.
Their 3-2 win over the latter was their first win against the Railwaymen in any competition since September 2012.
It also set up a fourth round home tie against another Northern League side and two-time Vase finalists West Auckland Town.
