Two goals in quick succession in the first half were enough for the three points.
Martin Kuhl took charge of his first league match as Stoke manager after seeing off local rivals Hartley Wintney in midweek in the Hampshire Cup and they were ahead after 17 minutes.
A neat corner routine allowed Sam Deadfield to tee up Dan Bayliss for a far-post header home from close range.
