FOR Southport and Solihull Moors, this turned out to be the game that neither team wanted.
With both sides standing 90 minutes away from lucrative third round ties against North London powerhouses in the FA Cup, the outcome of this FA Trophy tie always felt incidental.
While Southport rested their entire lineup, Solihull rang numerous changes of their own, and in the end it was the visitors from the National League who claimed the win.
