A MISSED penalty by Iron sub Billy Crook six minutes from time cost the bottom club dearly.
The spot kick came when young West Bromwich Albion striker Callum Morton had his heels clipped in the area with referee Martin Woods pointing to the spot, but Crook stroked his shot wide.
Iron boss Hakan Hayrettin said: “I am disappointed because I felt we were the better side throughout, playing some of our best football of the season and the penalty should have wrapped up all three points for us.
