DARLINGTON made it three home wins in a row and by beating Kidderminster atoned for their New Year’s Day disaster.
Having lost 4-0 at York on January 1, the Quakers hardly had to get out of second gear in overcoming a below-par Harriers side. Stephen Thompson opened the scoring with his first goal from open play this season and it was one to remember.
On 12 minutes he brought under control Liam Hughes’ lofted pass, spotted goalkeeper Brandon Hall off his line and executed a carefully weighted lob.
