JORDAN Archer came off the bench to rescue a point for Southport and extend their unbeaten run in the National League North to ten games.
The Port had been trailing to Yusifu Ceesay’s debut goal as Nuneaton Borough punched above their position at the foot of the table to lead.
But just when it looked like the visitors would claim only their second win in 16 games, Archer ensured a share of the points, stabbing home the rebound after goalkeeper Cam Belford had saved Dean Winnard’s header from a Marcus Wood cross.
