MERSTHAM continued their good run with a workmanlike despatch of Wingate & Finchley, who slipped into the bottom three as a result. The early exchanges were fairly frantic with the ball in the air more often than it was on the grass.
Wingate’s David Manu had the first chance, on 20 minutes, when he was clean through, but Merstham keeper Amadou Tangara made a great save.
