I FANCIED going to see the great Yorkshire coast derby between Whitby Town and Scarborough Athletic in the Evo-Stik Premier Division on New Year’s Day, so I set the wheels in motion.
Tickets appeared to be available to personal callers only but unfortunately I live some distance away.
After an exchange of tweets, I managed to obtain a ticket to the match by return of post from the chairman Eddie McNamee. In the handwritten covering letter, he said:
