A RESILIENT Lewes showed bags of character to come from two goals behind to beat a dogged Wingate & Finchley at the Dripping Pan.
The visitors took an unlikely lead in the 11th minute when Ahmet Rifat’s header squeezed under the dive of Lewes keeper Lewis Carey.
The goal knocked Lewes out of their stride and they struggled to impose themselves against their relegationfighting opponents.
The situation worsened for the Rooks in the 58th minute when Frankie Chappell turned in Ola Williams shot past his own keeper Carey.
