Weston win at home at long last

WESTON finally claimed their first home win of the season, with two goals in four minutes against Slough.
Skipper Jacob Cane’s diving header gave the Seagulls a 49th-minute lead and Marlon Jackson whipped in a second four minutes later.
Weston are now three points from safety as absent boss Marc McGregor’s youthful side made it three games unbeaten.
Slough bossed possession but spurned a host of chances with Weston keeper Luke Purnell in fine form.
Slough nearly led on six minutes when Purnell denied Ben Harris from close range.
