ONE of the few games to survive the weather in the NPL Premier was the bottom-of-the-table clash between Stafford and Lancaster City.
Half-chances were traded in the opening ten minutes. Lancaster’s Brad Carsley should have done better with his opportunity but he scuffed his shot when unmarked.
For Stafford, both Andy Haworth and Tom Thorley were off target.
Carsley was presented with an even better chance when Robert Wilson’s free kick fell to his feet some ten yards from goal but this time his shot glanced off the top of the bar.
