MATT GOULD was the hero as his penalty save ensured Spennymoor claimed all three points against a dogged Leamington side.
Mark Anderson’s third goal in three consecutive games was enough to see Moors move one point behind leaders Chorley, who lost yesterday.
A game between two sides in contrasting form took a while to get going until Joe Clarke shot straight at Gould.
Spennymoor went close from a corner when Glen Taylor headed narrowly over.
