ALTRINCHAM racked up three consecutive away wins for the first time this season to underline their play-off credentials.
Josh Hancock’s 16th goal of the season proved sufficient to secure maximum points at York, who had been enjoying a resurgence under Steve Watson.
The ex-Gateshead chief had masterminded four consecutive wins for the Minstermen, but Hancock’s 81st-minute winner settled a tight contest in favour of the visitors, who have now spent all but four days in the top seven since mid- November.
