CARLTON travelled to Cleethorpes hoping to rescue their season, but late goals from Tim Lowe and Josh Batty kept them in danger of relegation after a 4-2 defeat.
A brace from Tyler Blake put the visitors in front by half time, but back-to-back goals from Jon Oglesby and Danny North drew the Owls level early in the second half.
Lowe gave them the lead on 81 minutes with a powerful shot from 20 yards out, before substi tute Batty scored two minutes from time to secure all three points for Cleethorpes.
