A LATE penalty from Jack Mackreth earned Warrington Town victory at home to Gainsborough to keep their title hopes alive. The Yellows had trailed when Mackreth came off the bench, but he fired home an equaliser on 72 minutes and then kept his cool in the 90th minute to win it.
But the Holy Blues were aggrieved by the penalty decision, given when another Yellows substitute, Marcus Cusani, appeared to stand on the ball under pressure from Ioan Evans.
