POOLE’S play-off push was significantly dented by a home defeat at the hands of Hendon, who scored two second-half goals on a beautiful sunny day.
The first half was low on quality and entertainment – Connor Calcutt’s shot from a tight angle forcing a save from Poole goalkeeper Luke Cairney being the only shot on target of the half.
Poole’s best chance came from a corner in the 56th minutes, with defender Will Spetch’s strong header looking goalbound but cleared off the line amid rumours of a handball offence.
