THE quintessential game of two halves, with both teams failing to entertain before the break as fans followed an airborne ball from one end of the pitch to the other. Visitors Lancaster took the lead in the first minute of the second half as Sports failed to defend a free-kick outside their own box, static marking allowing Paul Dugdale to head the visitors into the lead.
This spurred hosts Mickleover into action and they were unlucky not to draw level on 50 minutes when a Jack Storer shot was cleared off the line.
