CHIPPENHAM’S highest ever National South crowd, boosted by a large support from Devon, saw the Bluebirds become the only side to record a league double over champions elect Torquay United.
In the opening half it was the Gulls who had the lion’s share of possession as their neat passing game produced a series of free-kicks and corners, but the home side’s back five worked tirelessly to keep them at bay.
