■WANTAGE Town won the Premier Division title and promotion back to Step 4 after Steve Robinson’s 63rdminute strike gave them a 1-0 win at Windsor on Easter Monday.
But the triumph was marred by the resignation of manager Ben Sadler, leaving the club to advertise for a replacement. Assistant boss Paul Braithwaite will be in charge for the final game of the season, the Reading Cup final against AFC Aldermaston at Reading’s Madejski Stadium on May 17.
On Thursday, Wantage beat Reading City 2-0 away in the semi-final, with goals from Jon Davoile and Robinson.
