CARLISLE City chairman Brian Hall is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead in the Northern League – although he admits he was “disappointed” that their appeal against the lateral move was rejected.
The Cumbrian outfit’s three-year stay in the North West Counties League was brought to an end by the Football Association’s decision to move them into the Northern League as part of a restructure of the nonleague system.
Hall was present at an FA hearing last week with City basing their appeal on “procedural grounds”.
