BARKING have been left frustrated after plans to lay a 3G pitch at their Mayesbrook Park home have been pushed back by 10 months.
It was hoped that the new surface would have been ready for the start of the new Bostik South Central season, but the timescale has slipped due to a slowdown in the production of certain legal documents.
Blues’ chairman Rob O’Brien said: “We will be asking the league for their support in terms of enabling suitably timed home fixtures. Going forward it will be a challenging season but one that I’m sure won’t faze us.”
