BLYTH Spartans remain bottom of the table as managerless Hereford move up to fourth.
Lee Clark’s Blyth have opened the season with four straight defeats, scoring just one goal. Spartans played well in the first half but trailed to what ultimately proved to be the decisive goal. Mike Symons struck on 24 minutes, Blyth low on confidence, losing their way after the break. Tom Owen-Evans, booked in the third minute, forced a save from Blyth loanee Nathan Harker.
