FOUR goals in the opening 27 minutes set the tone for this seven-goal bonanza, with both attacking units frequently making chances.
Both teams were looking for a first win of the season and it was the Bucks who scored first.
A rapid attack saw Alex Brown’s eight-yard shot rebound from keeper Shane Bland to Liam Hardy, who netted.
However, within a quarter-hour, Whitby led, courtesy of a brace by striker Bradley Fewster. Buxton responded with a 25-yard Brad Grayson curling effort that Bland tipped over.
