JAMIE CURETON belied his 44 years by bagging a match-winning brace for his Bishop’s Stortford outfit as they held on for a narrow win over Hertfordshire rivals Cheshunt.
Player-manager Cureton celebrated his umpteenth birthday in the week, and opened the scoring on four minutes with a delicate scoop over Ambers’ keeper Harry Girling from a tight angle.
Mark Haines gifted the visitors a soft penalty for a foul on Tom Hitchcock, who dispatched the spot-kick to equalise in the 25th minute.
