MORPETH Town came out on top in a six-goal thriller against ten-man Bradford PA.
Joe Walton opened the scoring inside 10 minutes for the visitors after Bradford’s Riccardo Calder squandered a great chance from an indirect free-kick just six yards out, but the left-back made amends on the end of an excellent move to level the scores.
Debutant Dan Sweeney missed a crucial chance just after the halfhour with Avenue well on top, and Sean Reid punished him, firing the visitors in front moments later with a crashing header.
