TOM MURPHY’S late goal salvaged a point for Cray as an entertaining 1-1 draw maintained both sides solid start to the season.
After an absorbing but goalless first half, East Thurrock went ahead through Andy Pugh’s header just after halftime.
But Murphy levelled 15 minutes from time.
Both teams started briskly and Cray’s Ben Mundele tested Rocks’ keeper Jack Giddens with a low 25-yarder.
East Thurrock came close when Pugh went through on goal but his shot was saved well by Wands keeper Lewis Carey.
