THIS potential ‘six pointer’ between sides in the National League basement failed to deliver anything more than a turgid stalemate.
And for the win-starved Magpies it was a frustrating eighth draw from 15 games played.
Chris Holroyd, arguably, squandered Chorley’s two best chances in the opening 10 minutes, but the Shots almost nicked the points as new signing Mo Bettamer’s header from Jack Powell’s cross was just off target.
Shots boss Danny Searle, though, described it as an aw- ful game.
