LUKE SHEILS sent Boston on a pilgrimage to the final qualifying round when his 69th-minute goal decided this hardfought tie.
Sutton Coldfield were not overawed by the higher league opposition and had the best of the early chances, Jordan Francis denied by brave goalkeeping from Boston custodian Peter Crook.
But Boston should have led before the break, with Jordan Thewlis, Jordan Adebayo-Smith and Brad Abbott all passing up presentable chances.
Sutton keeper Lewis Gwilliam made a fine low save on 56 minutes to deny Dominic Knowles.
