■ CHIPSTEAD’S quest for three more league points came unstuck largely due to two Uxbridge goals in the first 14 minutes.
By then, Tom Collins and Joe Jackson had been denied chances to put the home side ahead, and once the visitors had broken away after Jackson’s 10th-minute effort was blocked, Mark Bitmead struck to give them the lead, shooting across home keeper Oliver Pain from the right.
