BASFORD closed the gap on the league leaders to five points with this comfortable home win.
Stafford were unlucky not to get a penalty very early on as Evan Garnett was dragged down in the penalty area but referee Oliver Mackey played on.
The home side took the lead when Kane Richards converted Liam Hearn’s low cross with his shins.
Stafford equalised just two minutes later with a great finish from forward Bradley Grayson.
Grayson curled in the shot from the edge of the area, beating Kieran Preston.
