EBBSFLEET survived playing the last 15 minutes without a recognised goalkeeper to grab an unlikely victory ten minutes into injury time through Gozie Ugwu’s penalty and climb off the bottom of the National League.
Ahead twice, Ebbsfleet were twice pegged back by a Sutton side who dominated long periods of the second half, and when goalkeeper Jordan Holmes was forced off after taking a David Ajiboye shot full in the face at close range, defender Tyler Cordner went in goal with no goalkeeper on the bench.
