OXFORD City made the most of a lacklustre Slough Town performance, running out unlikely winners at a sodden Marsh Lane.
The Hoops dominated the first half, striker Elliott Benyon appearing lively in his first start for the club but repeatedly falling foul of Slough’s offside trap.
And when he did evade the assistant’s flag in the 20th minute, he shot narrowly wide of the far post.
