MAIDSTONE UNITED extended their unbeaten run to six matches with a hard-fought victory over Billericay Town in an entertaining encounter at the Gallagher Stadium. It took just five minutes for the visitors to take the lead with a well-rehearsed free-kick.
Sam Deering rolled the ball into the box from a free-kick for Doug Loft to turn and finish past Town stopper Jake Cole.
Despite falling behind, Maidstone quickly got into their stride. One neat move involving Ibby Akanbi ended with Justin Amaluzor seeing his rising drive strike the bar.
