SUBSTITUTE Nyal Bell’s late header saw a much improved Stockport team pick up all three points in a rearranged fixture against Dagenham & Redbridge, delighting boss Jim Gannon.
“We were much better today and constantly knocking on the door,” he said. “We had to correct a few things at half-time but you could smell as the game was going on that it was probably no surprise we got a goal.”
The Hatters, coming off the back of a couple of home defeats, were the better team in the first half but did not create the best opportunity.
