Tivvy’s league assault a goer

TIVERTON Town continued their push for the title with a narrow and hard-fought win against a re-built Hendon team.
Four of the 14 Greens players were making their debut but their unfamiliarity with each other was not obvious in the first half as they had more chances but failed to make Lewis Williams work too hard.
The best chance of the half though fell to Tivvy’s Jared Lewington, whose header was brilliantly tipped onto the bar by goalkeeper Patrick Oman.
Just before half-time Tom Hamblin forced Williams into a fine save.
