CINDERFORD defeated Paulton despite having a man sent off.
Cinderford dominated the first half with only a 13th-minute penalty to show after Joe Hillard’s foul on Craig Norman saw captain Andy Lewis convert despite Rovers’ young keeper Aaron Sainsbury getting a hand to the ball.
Marley Thomas then twice brought saves from Sainsbury and Norman headed his cross wide.
Paulton’s best efforts saw Ben Bament bring saves from former Rovers keeper Andy Hannah.
